Use to serve food on, as storage organization, as a display piece, or any other way you'd use a tray. Avoid placing hot items (anything above 212°F or 100°C), and avoid cutting anything on it since this will damage the wood. Do not leave the tray in standing water or near any heat sources.
Trays are finished with multiple coats of polyurethane to seal the wood and provide a water resistant surface. Clean with dish soap and warm water, then dry immediately. I personally use Murphy's Cleaning Spray, ~every 3 months, or when my trays get dirty. Other than cleaning it regularly, there are no upkeep requirements for trays.
To remove minor dents and scratches, buff them out using a soft cloth and mild abrasive polish. If you get to a point where there are too many dents or deep scratches, you can resurface the entire tray by sanding it. I'd recommend starting with 120-grit sand paper, and then 220-grit. Apply new polyurethane, or a wood finish of your choice.
I also offer resurfacing - for that service or any other care questions you might have, you can reach me at:
